PRESERVATION IN THE NEWS: Alcatraz water tower graffiti restored

The National Park Service recently completed restoration of the water tower on the historic Alcatraz site, including meticulously documenting and repainting the graffiti from the two year occupation of the island by Native American activists. Its not one of our projects, but its definitely one of the more unusual “historic paint conservation” projects.
